Our model spans the entire post-harvest value chain — from aggregation centers collecting from farms, through sorting and grading, into temperature-controlled cold storage, and onward through refrigerated logistics to buyers across Nigeria. We are building this system now, starting in Osun State.

VersDirect was born from a direct discovery. Since 2025, our own tomato and habanero harvest in Osun State go straight to a pre-arranged buyer — and experiences none of the spoilage that routinely affects produce across the state. The difference wasn't the crop or the climate. It was the connection. Most smallholder farmers in Osun State do not have that connection, and as a result loose 40-50% of what they harvest, or are forced to sell cheaply to middlemen for lack of any alternative. VersDirect exists to build the infrastructure that gives every farmer the direct route to market that protected our own harvest.
We recognized that solving post-harvest loss was not just a logistical problem, it was an infrastructure problem. No single intervention would fix it. What is needed is a systemic, end-to-end solution.
That vision became VersDirect, a company that treats every crate of tomatoes and pepper, and every farmer behind them as a critical part of a larger food system worth protecting.
